Just Tank

I got this awesome tank to review. I am a spaghetti strap nut, that I probably will never grow out of for sure. The one think I love about this shirt it is really long, mine will go passed the bum which is awesome. So hard to find shirts nowadays that will go past the pants enough when you bend over nothing shows. Not that I care, but my husband sure does. This has adjusting straps which can be handy depending what you wear underneath this. You can also do the whole this shirt and another shirt on top and have this one that is longer since this is so in right now! The quality of the shirt is perfect and very stretchy like. It is tight around the body since it is a shape-wear company, it helps me want to lose my muffin top since every time I look down I see it. This company has such a wide variety of tops. So many i wish I had, they are just so adorable. The quality of the clothing is just so perfect and washes great and no shrinkage at all!

Every woman wants to look and feel sexy in her life, I know I do but majority of the time I just feel fat and sluggish!! Being a mum is of course the most rewarding job you can possibly have, but finding ‘me’ time to help banish our baby belly is very difficult find! How on earth do we find the time but for a rigorous exercise regime, whilst working 24 hours a day being a mum? Well, let me tell you a little secret that I have found to be a God send-it’s called Wink!
Wearing a Wink garment helps the skin to retract and compress the uterus and in turn give you a flatter stomach. It will also provide the perfect support and comfort needed for after having your baby, and will also assist in reducing cramping during breast feeding. I really can’t wait until my own baby is born (any time soon) as I know that I will be wearing these garments straight away! I had my sister, who’s baby was born a couple of months ago, to try out some samples and she was so impressed with the results – I hope I get them back!!!
The Tummy Tucker Tank (£42.04) – This is a fab top to wear under other tops to give the look and feeling of a flatter and smoother stomach, or even on its own! The length of this tank is great for compressing the lower abdomen area and hips, whilst looking like a normal top to the undiscerning eye. A great top to give her a boost of confidence, with a superb slimming effect! You can wear it to work, out in the town, casually with a pair of jeans or even to the gym. It looks sleek, and will flatter every figure no matter what size! The material is smooth and highly comfortable, and it leaves you with no awkward flabby hanging bulges anywhere!! The Tummy Tucker is a winner in my eyes.

The Ultimate Belly Blaster (£84.08) – Yes this is more expensive that the above, but it’s so well worth every penny!! This offers not one, but TWO layers of the silky medical compression material that makes these Wink garment work so well. Just think, double the comfort/support, double the compression and double the smoothness! The belly blaster will offer the upmost support for those first 8 weeks of postpartum recovery and post abdominal surgery. What my sister likes most about this is that once on) which is rather tricky to do, but worth the effort!), it felt like her second skin and she was instantly a size smaller – oh yes, it actually works fantastically!! She has recommended the Belly Blaster to many of her friends, and I know that I’ll be taking this straight of her once my bambino comes along! This features an adjustable length for different sized torsos and waist, and also 3 levels of eye and hook at the side and crotch for easy bathroom access.

The Everyday Nursing Shaper Tank (£48.50) – I love this top, as not only does it do a fine job at holding all in, but you can actually nurse your baby with ease too. This two layer nursing tank top comes with a built-in silky medical compression material underneath the cotton top. It’s fabulous to wear with jeans as it doesn’t in the slightest look like a shape wear top at all. The light cotton top and compression material extends below the hips, giving the much compression needed at the waist, belly and hips area. This nursing top helps support the uterus from cramping whilst nursing and therefore reducing pain. It’s a perfect top for those who want a tank to nurse in as well as the compression to get back in shape fast. To be honest, I have this packed in my hospital bag as I know I’ll be in it straight away after my baby is born. The thicker straps will cover my nursing bra easily, and the softness will be lovely for baby to cuddle into!

I honestly believe that Wink have hit the spot when it comes to making new mums look and feel good. I highly recommend everything about them, and think that the above garments should become something that every ‘new mum’ wardrobe should possess. Wink say: “When you know you look good and feel good about yourself, you glow. When you know you feel good about how you look, you gain confidence and feel ready to meet any challenges that come your way. We want to be your special, secret friend that makes you feel beautiful.”

As a mom of two I know what pregnancy can do to your body. I know what its like to work to get back in shape, and I know exactly how long it takes to achieve that. Their is this in between time after you have baby where your not pregnant any more but you just haven’t quite got your belly back in shape. Where everything is just a little lumpy and bumpy. We all know about the mommy pooch at the bottom of your belly that never really seems to go away no matter how much you work. Wink has just made the pooch a little smoother. They have smoothed out the lumpy and bumpy. With the Wink ultimate belly & hip shaper. These are the key features of the ultimate belly and hip shaper:
- It has two layers of silky medical compression
- it extends above the waist and below the hip
- It has six panels of Hook and eye closure for adjustment and tightening.
- Thick wide band at the top and bottom to prevent the garment from rolling up or down
- A seamless design allows band to be worn under clothing.
- Comes in 3 sizes XS-S, M-L,XL-XXL
I would like to talk a bit about sizing I measured my waist hips and thigh like the sizing chart said. I used those numbers to determine what size to get. I believe I should have gotten a size smaller as it is as tight as it will go so If I louse any weight the shaper will be too big and I wont be able to use it any more. Sizes go as follows Extra Small/Small, Medium/Large and XL/XXL. I got the medium large due to my measurements when I was more of a small medium. I am apparently in between sizes, a Small/Medium would have been perfect for me if they would have come that way. It still fits me well (at least tell I louse weight
, the ultimate hip and belly shaper does its job well, and gives me a very nice slimming look I defiantly louse some inches with it on. I can’t wait to try a pair of booty shaper shorts or the ultimate thigh blaster then I could go down two sizes in my jeans. I thought everyone would love to see some actual before and after pictures. If you notice in the after pictures my jeans are actually slipping off me a little.
Disclosure: I received this product at no cost for review. All opinions are my own or what my kids thought of the product.

After you say goodbye to the baby bump, the skin on your belly may loosen and start sagging. Of course, this is not something that most of the new mothers want. The skin is very elastic and when you were pregnant, it stretches a lot. However, after the birth of the baby, it doesn’t have any purpose now. No matter if you went for a normal delivery or a C-section, you will have to fight this flab. The responsibilities of a new member in the family complete and a generally weaker body, doesn’t allow you to go the gym anymore. Moreover, you might be spending many sleepless nights that do not allow you to get up early in the morning and exercise.

In these conditions, postnatal clothing will be ideal for you. Doctors advise new mothers to wear very soft and comfortable clothes while they are adjusting to their new lifestyle and their body is recovering. If you wear postnatal garments at this time, you will ensure that among all the new responsibilities and change of schedule, you continue to look great. These garments are made of premium quality fabrics and designed in a special way. These clothing place mild pressure on the belly and helps it come back to normal shape.
The clothing is available in many shapes, sizes and types. You can wear belts and girdles that focus only on your abdominal area. You can also opt for upper torso shapewear that extend all the way from the upper ribs to the lower abdomen. They are good to be worn when you have to go out. If you don’t feel comfortable with belts, you can use compression corsets. These are normally worn around the hips and provide more comfort than belts. Though you should be careful about sitting and standing and ensure that you feel comfortable and you don’t feel awkward.
If you don’t want restricted movements or want that to get full support on the upper body, you can wear compression tanks as well. The best part about such compression clothing is that they provide support to the body and are normally not rough on the skin. Moreover, they can be used by women who have just gone through a C-section. They do not interfere with the natural healing process of the cut, nor do they put undue pressure on the belly. This helps you in recovering faster and you can wear them for everyday comfort.
Over the compression clothing, you can wear comfortable and softer cotton clothes. Cotton will help your skin breathe. Moreover, skirts and one-piece dresser should be your best pals at this time. Wear A- shape dresses that give space to your belly. In general, do not opt for clothes that are too tight at the abdomen. Refrain from too tight fitting skirts and jeans.
There is one very important aspect that gets missed out in clothing to be worn postpartum and that is your bra. Don’t wear your old bras now and wear only nursing bras. If you have boobs that sag too much, you can even use breast belts so that they do not sag. Overall, focus more on comfort and add a hint of style to look like a perfect new mom.
Well for a day at least. Last weekend I wiggled and squeezed my way into the new Wink Shapewear range that was confidence crushingly called ‘Belly Blaster’ in an effort to reduce my wobbly mummy tummy and ease myself into a little black dress for a family get together. I don’t know why us women do it. We spend a huge part of our lives analysing our bodies post pregnancy and feeling generally discouraged by how it looks versus the super slim celeb mummies who live in a world of Dukan diets, no carbs and celebrity trainers.
We agonise over lumps and bumps when really we should celebrate the amazing changes our body has gone through and embrace our new shape. Unfortunately, I fall into camp one and three years on still beat myself with a wet fish when I find the tiny silver stretch mark veins and find my muffin pouch not something I let alone my husband would want to look at. That’s not to say I’ve let it all go – I watch what I eat, I have cut back to 1500 calories a day, I cook fresh every night and I’ve started an exercise regime with a friend where we are swimming 2 – 3 nights a week. However, there are still those times when you need a quick fix and the new Wink Shapewear range promises to be a quick fix for those ‘must be slim’ emergencies, think of it as a lingerie fairy godmother if you will.
Little lingerie miracles like this are a wardrobe staple for many mums post pregnancy; for me unless I magically have a windfall I won’t be having a tummy tuck any time soon, and to be honest I’m not sure I could stomach that sort of operation. Mum’s are attracted to shapewear to hold in and smooth over extra body fat it is appealing to many of us mothers who lack the tight muscles that used to hold us together (they were there once honestly)! Wink Shapewear carries an exquisite line of top-quality shapewear that thankfully can rescue us and our bodies from wobblyness.
The Winks Shapewear range has some impressive credentials:-
“Wink is the only medical-grade system of postnatal recovery garments that help new moms get back into their fabulous shape after baby.”
The variety of styles and options on offer is vast and each of the products can target a different trouble spot or solve a clothing dilemma whilst ultimately being comfortable to wear. For me, I am not concerned about my thighs, I’ve got good legs. Thanks to the joys of pregnancy my breasts are still large enough to house a small family of marsupials in and so wearing my own bra is a must have for shapewear. However, I want something that covers my back area and deals with my muffin top and that annoying join you get when wearing tights and pants and a bra and basically feel like a squashed sausage.
I don’t like elastic or velcro to fasten things and prefer proper metal hook and eye fastening in a corset style – therefore no embarrassing ripping noises and hook and eye actually works when it’s fastened. Most importantly, I want shapewear that will stay up where I want it so I don’t have to worry about it sliding down throughout the day and having to do some strange pulling and tugging in public. These preferences led me to the Ultimate Belly Blaster, and it is everything I hoped it would be!
And I was not disappointed. The Ultimate Belly Blaster is made from a smoothy silky material and tight fitting for maximum compression. The hooks and eyes on the side panel allow for four different levels of
adjustment as you prefer a tighter or looser fit, and well as adjustable lengths with the shoulder straps. There are two layers of high compression level material called Lycrosoft, so you feel very ‘contained’ and not in any way squashed or uncomfortable. I could move and bend easily when wearing it and it felt like a very well fitting dress. I loved the fact that I could wear my normal bra with it and the material is strong and supportive and stood up well to the rigours of me pulling it on yet is very soft and tactile too. The high back is a HUGE bonus to the design as it covers that nasty back rolls so many of us get and although this shapewear is specifically created for the first 8 weeks of post partum recovery and particularly for post abdominal surgery recover I can see it can be used well after this date for any mum who needs that helping hand, without going under the knife, to get into something special and feel comfortable.
I wore it all day. I felt amazing. Unlike other shapewear products I have used I didn’t spend every 5 minutes pulling something up or down or fidgeting. Going to the loo was also a breeze thanks to it’s clever popper design so at least you don’t have to squat like a medieval wench over your loo!
Currently if you head to the Wink Shapewear site you can sign up for their newsletter and get 10% off your first order – the Belly Blaster has an RRP of £85.99 which whilst pricier than your usual M&S Shapewear is far superior in design, quality and comfort and has been specifically designed with mum’s post pregnancy in mind.

It is often difficult for new mothers to lose weight and look fit. The pounds they gain during pregnancy, especially around the midsection, become a part of their life and the flabby abdomen stays there forever. Moreover, getting the right exercise seems impossible with an infant to take care of and strict dieting deprives the body of the necessary nutrition. Postnatal slimming undergarments can be the solution for this problem.
Postnatal slimming garments are specially designed for nursing mothers. After the delivery, the skin around the waist often falls like a deflated balloon. The uterus had expanded to hold the baby, but now it has lost its purpose. You cannot lose it in a jiffy. Therefore, it is essential that you lose it slowly and steadily without looking like a sloppy new mother.
Compression garments can be used post-delivery by all the mothers, even those who have a C-section performed for delivery. These undergarments compress the waist and hips and help to bring them back in their natural shape and size. You can drop up to two sizes using these garments while you continue your exercise and try to fight the flab. They not only provide instant slimming results, but also make your tummy firm like before.

Postnatal slimming garments are available in a lot of styles and two colors- black and nude. There are belly wraps, belly and hip tuckers, C-section compression panties, postnatal slimming shorts and full body covering compression corsets. You can wear them according to your size and body shape. They are medical grade garments and are suitable for use as postnatal recovery.
You must keep in mind the purpose of wearing these slimming undergarments and then choose one accordingly. If you look for better support for a particular spot like your belly, then choose a belly wrap or a compression panty. However, if you want full body support then you must go for a calf length garment that will support your upper and lower abdomen as well as the hips and thighs.
It is recommended that you wear these garments everyday (even to sleep) for about 6 to 8 weeks to get maximum results. To avoid rushing through things after delivery, you can purchase your garment before your delivery or if you want to be sure of what exact size you will be after delivery, then purchase the garment after delivery.
Varicose veins are unsightly, bulging or knotted veins that typically appear in the legs. A false belief is that this condition only affects the elderly and women. What makes this belief all the worse is that varicose veins are treated as a cosmetic concern, when in reality they can be extremely detrimental to healthy lifestyles. This means, however, that getting them removed can prove difficult, because insurance providers do not cover “cosmetic” procedures. This is all the more reason to invest in some quality compression socks or stockings.
Compression stockings roll up the legs like leggings or pantyhose and hug the legs. The reason for this is to increase pressure and tighten the leg muscles to best improve the vein walls. Many doctors recommend this as a viable and inexpensive treatment option.

Compression stockings are important because not only do they disguise the varicose veins, but they also improve the condition. Veins travel to heart, carrying deoxygenated blood, to be pumped full of oxygen and subsequently travel around the rest of the body. Veins are much looser however than their counterparts, arteries. Arteries are tight because they have to support a great deal of blood pressure coming from the heart. Veins are much looser with flexible walls so that valves can prevent blood from flowing backwards. This is why varicose veins typically occur on the legs, it’s because they’re fighting against gravity.
If the vein walls have weakened from insufficient muscle pressure or venous insufficiency-which can be hereditary-then the valve won’t close all the way, causing the blood to pool. When the blood pools this causes the veins to appear knotted and bulging in the legs. They are extraordinarily unsightly and can be very painful. If they are not treated, blood clotting may occur deep within the vein-called deep vein thrombosis or DVT-and a large clot may eventually be pushed through the veins, up to the lungs. This can actually result in a pulmonary embolism (PE), blocking passage to lungs, and consequently death.
This is why, while seemingly cosmetic, varicose veins can lead to much more severe, and in some cases, deadly aftereffects. To prevent this, there are surgeries-both invasive and noninvasive-to remove these veins, but more immediate and less expensive are compression stockings.
Compression stockings not only disguise unsightly legs, but also tighten those vein walls to prevent blood pooling and increase blood flow. They are inexpensive and doctor recommended.
